i use to know how to import my character but do not recall how to. i would love to make 4 party to play alone. so i want to level up my characters few levels before i head out.
Click the export button on the character record screen, can't remember if you get to name the file but I suspect you do. Then the import button at character creation and choose the correct character from the list. As far as I remember it should work the same in BG1 or 2.
Just copy your final BG1 saved game into the BG2 saved game folder.
Then select import from saved game.

Edit: Or do it MissDaydreams way. I was a bit slow.

i forgot the export button was in character sheet. i did not see it there. now i can work on my guys to get them up to level 2 or 3 before i head out.

This just gave me the idea to export my barbarian when he hits the end of ToB and import him into Tutu just to see how badly he breaks the game.... not sure if I should let him keep the equipment or not, though.

You don't get the option to let him keep his equipment.

You can import your character from an endgame ToB save into a new SoA game and keep all your loot, though... provided everything is on your PC and not in any bags, and you pause/drop everything before the starting cutscene begins. And yes, it does hilariously unbalance everything to have a level 40 character with a stack of +5 items wandering around in Irenicus's dungeon.

I was actually just thinking of a level 40 character with starter gear wandering around in the wilderness outside of Candlekeep....

Well you wouldn't have to worry about wolves or kobold archers, that's for sure.

Yes it is one of three classes added with BG2.
Or if you play BG1 with TuTu or BGT.
