I own the Atari Dungeons and Dragons Anthology Edition. A result of this is that both Baldur's Gates are experiencing pixelation problems, and look terrible as a result. With the GoG editions, do they experience this as well, or has the problem been fixed? I am happy if the screen is smaller, even if I have enabled widescreen settings. I just want to play Baldur's Gate without any screen problems.

I never had any problems running BG2 on any system I've owned since the game was released. But, you may want to look into Easy Tutu Mod for BG1 as it lets you use the BG2 engine with BG1 data. This will allow you to change different things the engine simply didn't allow at the time BG1 was released. Ex: different screen resolutions and 3d support.

I run both BG1 and 2 (GOG editions) an Windows 7 Ultimate, without any issues at all. They are completely compatible with Windows, but some video drivers might cause issues -- that's not a Windows issue, but a driver one, yet one that can often be sorted by rolling back to an older driver release.
What is your video card? I find it more likely that it is the culprit rather than windows 7
PS. also no visual issues on windows 7 for me, using Radeon HD6950

My video card is a Radeon HD7670M. What I am experiencing in Baldur's Gate is an automatic screen size increase. I have my resolution set to the highest it can get without enabling the locked resolution, but that does not fix the problem. To better explain my problem is this: when I first installed the Dungeons and Dragons Anthology edition, Baldur's Gate was set to a small rectangular box with the rest of my screen occupied by blackness (it was loaded in fullscreen, not the window setting). It is only recently that the game window has expanded, filling the black areas, and causing the pixelation problems.
So, I have finally fixed the graphic issue. The main problem now is the widescreen effect. My Laptop has a 13 inch screen. With BG2 in proper widescreen format the Inventory, Record, Options , and other in-game sheets look smushed and flattened. This is no an end of the world scenario (I can live with it), but I would like to know if there is anyway for me to re-size BG2 into a more suitable and comfotable screen format.
What is the Default resolution of your laptop?
What resolution are you currently using for BG2?
