The Enhanced Editions games are effectively new games/separate products and are by a different developer, Beamdog. This isn't a GOG issue. No matter where you buy the games, the Enhanced Editions are sold separately from the original releases.

This is a very common theme in gaming and is explained with basic economics. You pay more to get more.

If it makes you feel any better the "enhancements" are pretty crummy. It's got more bugs than an ant colony, and the voice acting for the new characters is honestly the worst I've ever seen (I thought Dorn wasn't bad though). The grass is not greener on the other side.

If you think the voice acting of the NPCs is bad, you haven't seen bad voice acting. Rasaad and Dorn were good, Neera was so-so but maybe a bit too annoyingly realistic for a lot of folk. That's just my opinion though. All of the townsfolk sound fairly generic but no one seems to say anything about those, or Xzar and his crazy sounding demeanor.

Xzar and the other characters who aren't new to the Enhanced Edition all have excellent voice acting. I also thought Baeloth was enjoyable. Rashaad was pretty good. Nothing exceptional but I can't expect everything to reinvent the wheel.
