I can install both games using Wineskin and even start them up, but when I try to install BGT and other Weidu mods, they do nothing but give a lot of "file not found" errors. It seems that the packaged Weidu for Windows expects a Windows filesystem and runs afoul of OS X & linux's increased fussiness over file names (not the mention the forward-slashes).

Has anyone figured out a simple solution to this problem?

I copied over all the files from a Windows install of BGT into a CrossOver bottle on OS X and it works fine. This is not a complete solution, since now I'm stuck with the mods I had installed under Windows, but on the plus side I was able to continue from my last save game!

Discussion at http://www.shsforums.net/lofiversion/index.php/t41200.html indicates that it is possible to do a BGT install directly under Linux or OS X wine, but I haven't tried that yet.

I tried the copy-over-from-Windows trick as well, but when I did that BGMain.exe just errored out before even launching the game.

Thanks for the SHS forums link. I guess I'll have to give that a try some afternoon if I really feel like it. Sounds like a lot of work. ;^)
