Well I was looking for a good deal on Baldur's Gate 1 and I found out that Gamer's Gate had it at about $3 so I bought it and downloaded it and when it came time to install it I was surprised when it was a GOG installer. So apparently Gamer's Gate is selling the GOG version of Baldur's Gate 1. So my question was: could I add this game to my GOG library online in order to get the free downloadable extras? Also does Gamer's Gate have the license to redistribute GOG games?

I'm afraid you can't add it to your GOG library. I'm sure if GG is using GOG installer that they have permission. From the way I've seen these installers getting around, I think the publishers are getting rights from GOG to use the installers.
So this finally explains for me why GG uses screenshots from GOG for some games... :D
