Hi, before I buy this, does BG1 still take one CPU and run it at 100%, even for multi-cores? I had a serious problem with overheating when I tried running my old CD version on my laptop. Thanks!

EDIT: Okay, I see that it is. Anyone know any way of spreading that out across a quad core or i8 core?

Instead of attempting to spread the load across many cores. Have you tried changing the Windows Power options to "Power saver". If that makes a difference then look though the advanced options to see if you can just change the options relating to CPU frequency / throttling.

There probably are some fan control options in your laptops BIOS screen that may allow the fans to be turned up slightly.
I hadn't thought of that power saver option. My Lenovo has several presets, I'll give that a shot. Thanks for the tip.
