Heya everyone,

I was so excited to start playing BG2 again. I was not able to get my old disks to install on my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 operating system so I bought a copy from GoG.

It played like a charm right up until I exited the starting dungeon. It seems to be crashing on the rolling text cinematic that plays right before you see the scene of Irenicus slaughtering all the Shadow Thieves and Cowled Wizards.

Anyone else had this issue? Any solutions?

Do you have any mods installed? If so, try uninstalling them and see if the same thing happens without mods. But before you do that, be absolutely sure that you install BG2 (and *any* game) outside of the Windows protected 'Program Files' folder structure.

Got it working, had to run in compatibility mode
