Hi guys, just finished installing BG1 + 2 via a Windows 7 VirtualBox VM. I followed the instructions from the gog.com front page and used the gog.com versions of the games. Everything works perfectly, including all the patches etc and the game looks great and runs 100% - apart from 1 issue, the windows mouse cursor is stuck on "busy" the moment I run the game and so i have 2 cursors at once, the BG one (the finger) and the windows busy one at the same time (in the same place) - any idea how I can get rid of the Windows one? BTW the game still works, i.e. I can click buttons etc nps.
Curious one. What happens if you switch the game to window mode? (Alt-Enter while the game is running, or use BGconfig.exe in the game folder)

I wonder what the performance is like in a Win7 virtual environment...

Ok after messing with some settings to get it to windowed mode I can make a small change to the issue - when the mouse leaves the BGT window, it switches back from the busy cursor to the normal mouse one. Unfortunately it still remains with the BG cursor so I still have 2 at once when the mouse re-enters the windowed game lol. I have a feeling it's something to do with the VirtualBox graphics drivers but I'm not sure... Will have a mess around and see if it does it with any other games.
As a temporary work-around, what if you just changed the busy cursor to a blank one in windows mouse options? (A quick google turned this one up)

Nice idea! Tis fine now, since I only use the VM for BGT I'm fine with this as the solution :)
