What's the maximum allowable value of "Path Search Nodes" in "baldur.ini"?

Also, if you can go higher than default 32000, why isn't it already set to maximum value?

I don't know what they have implemented in BG:EE, but in the original Baldur's Gate IE with TotSC, according to the patch notes:

"The range can vary from 2000 to 400000."
Yes, that's the value I set (since BG:EE runs on BG2 engine) but I wonder if EE can use even larger values and why is it set so low in the .ini.

EDIT: After further research, it seems 400000 is the maximum value. It's by default set to 32000 to not hamper performance on Android devices, so yeah... set it to 400k if you're on PC.

EE allows you to improve pathfinding even further by editing baldur.ini and adding following line (which for some stupid reason is not present by default):

'Game Options', 'Enhanced Path Search', '1',
