Tried installing BGI and got all the way throught to re-inserting disc 1 when everything froze. I restarted my comp and uninstalled BG, but now when I put disc 1 back in to try another installation I get the play option not install. every selection off the menu now results in errors. Anybody know a way i can get this too workout for me...i'm at a loss as to what to try next. running windows XP.

First I would clear out all temporary files
Go to Start> Run & in the run box type %temp%
Then select everything it shows you & delete them.

Take your Baldurs Gate disk out of the drive.

Then I would get CCleaner from here http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
First click on Registry>Scan for issues> then Fix selected issues.
Then click on Cleaner then Run Cleaner.
Then reboot & try your installation again.
