So I own BG2 on disc version, the collectors edition which includes bonus content (unique vendor and items).

My question is; Is the gog version more stable than the stand alone version on Win7?

It would help if you included relevant information like any official and/or unofficial patches applied (what version), and a complete mod list (post your weidu.log).

It would also be helpful if you expanded on "I am experiencing crashes and graphical problems". That could mean almost anything.
Why would i need to give you that? I am asking if the gog is more stable than the original version. It's my understanding gog usually optimized their games to run under todays OS.

This is not a "tech help" topic.

If you don't want to cooperate, that's fine by me. Good luck.

Oh, but it is, since you stated you are having crashes and graphical problems. It doesn't get more technical than that.

Wow, someone sure is in a bad mood today.

Anyways, I edited out my statement about the problems I was having. Maybe that will prevent people from misreading what I am asking.

Anyone that can actually answer my question?

I think he is just asking if the GOG version is more stable on a Windows 7 sytem. From what I have experienced so far, I can give you a definite YES, Filthgrinder.

Can you run the unsupported (higher) resolutions without problems?

With the widescreen mod? Yes, to my experience.

I have had no problems so far.
I have both as well... IME the Gog IS more stable than the disc but I place a lot of mods so that could also effect the outcome.

Fyi the Gog does NOT have Joluv i.e. the second bonus seller... he can be added in with out issues.
