Windows 7 64bit. I've tried downloading the game directly and via the downloader, both give the same problem.

The three files that get downloaded are:
setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12.exe
setup_baldurs_gate2_2.0.0.12-1.bin
setup_baldurs_gate_2-2.bin

When I run the install program, it immediately pops up a box asking for the location of the next part (.BIN file): (screenshot attached)

Installer needs the next part (.BIN) file.
Please specify the location of part 2 and click OK.

I think the file names are wrong, from reading the posts from other users with install problems, they dont have the same file names that I do.

Can anyone help?

Just to add, the same issue has been happening to me as well, exactly the same as above.
Same problem here...can't figure it out. I've downloaded thru GoG installer, manually, thru different browsers. Any help would be awesome.
Also having the same issue

Hi,

Please delete those files and try redownloading. You should have all the proper files once you redownload BG 2. My deepest apologies for this as this was slightly my fault :(

edit: You can also just redownload the second part, the second BIN file if you already have the other files. I was suggesting a redownload as a just in case solution :D.

Are the bin files in the path highlighted in blue, if not did you browse to their location?

Edit: ignore this post.

It has installed fine after redownloading, thank you for fixing this.

Are you downloading via your browser or the GOG Downloader?
I can't even get the 2nd part to install nothing happens it just sits there doing nothing.
Yeah, I made a topic a while ago and still haven't gotten nothing. Even emailed them and all tbey said was that they need to be put in the same file to work. Still nothing.

Download all the parts of the installer - the exe and all of the bin files (I don't have BG2 from GOG, so don't know how many parts it has, but it is the same size as NWN1 and that has 1 exe + 2 bin files).

Make sure all of the parts are kept in the same folder.

Run the executable.

Choose install location and any other options, agree to the terms, then click the button to install the game.

Same FOLDER... same FOLDER. File is what you download, FOLDER is the place on your hard drive that you put it in.

When I meant same file, I meant to say folder. I already did that since the first time I downloaded the three files. All in the same fold and still getting the damn damn error that it cannot find the next file. Ridiculous.
