hi,

i have both gog standard BG1 and also the EE.

last week i fired up th EE as i haven't played that yet and noticed while i always get music a lot of the special effect like magic noises like when jadheira heals people with a spell, footsteps, characters arguing or talking to each other is very and i mean very hit or miss.

then sometimes after i reload a game they talk to each other (music is ok all the time) then i move to another map and suddenly voices/footsteps disappear again? very annoying.

sometimes i can be playing for ages with nothing but music playing...when the film cutscenes voices are fine mostly but sometimes there is juddering audio when the Movies playback this happens sometimes and other times its ok?

so i installed the gog BG1 normal edition non enhanced and the special effect/voices/music/cutscenes all play fine but i cant get the screen resolution like on the enhanced which because im on 30" 2560x1600p screen is a nightmare so im struggling moving around.

so my question is how do i fix the audio problems in BG1 EE ???

I have the audio problems with the Enhanced Editions, too, particularly annoying are the stuttering, crackly, broken sounds in the bik video cutscenes -- incredibly irritating. I don't know what they've done to them, but they've been broken since day one. Obviously not everybody is affected or they would have taken the issue more seriously and fixed it. I don't think there is a fix.

well seem ill have to play the original with no zoom out...very frustrating when using such a large screen res + cant find any movement controls only mouse unlike the enhanced version :(

basically i dont want to mod it otherwise i would stick to EE but then on that i dont get any sounds so i cant win lol


oh well.
