I have started a new comic series based on the Baldur's Gate pc game. Just like my other rpg comic based on the tv show Stargate SG-1 this one features a group of tabletop role players and their GM trying to get through the Campaign module Baldur's Gate.

If that sounds interesting please check it out. I will be posting another comic on Sunday to give everyone a preview of what's to come and then the comic will update on an every Wednesday schedule. Thanks for reading and enjoy the comic. Click here for the first comic!
Looks neat!
Thanks! Comic two is now up. After today the comic will update every Wednesday. Thanks for reading!

Looks like fun!

:)

A little tip:

It would be a good idea to include pointers to your word balloons when crafting comicbook panels. Pointers help the reader understand who is speaking.
Thank you for the positive comments! Comic 3 is now up, enjoy.

Tried adding something like that but it seemed to clutter the page quite alot. It also didn't work very well when the character isn't in the scene(they are talking out of character) or if they are looking at something, like a map or letter, and the characters aren't on the screen.

I could be misunderstanding though, do you have a link to another comic that does this so I could see how people do it? Perhaps there is a way to make it work and avoid the problems I have run into. Thanks for reading.

Your set up is fine. The reader probably just didn't see the guide before the comic starts. Most likely didn't read the character bios either.

Disagree.

If the reader needs a guide just to read a comicbook, it's a comicbook no one wants to read.

The "guide" is not a guide on how to read a comic book, it's an overview of *this* comic book's aim and characters, which makes reading it quite simple. But you'd have known that had you actually read it.

The clutter, as I see it, is that there is far too little screen (the screenshots are too small), which makes the text overpowering. You don't want that. A comic book is a pictorial story, and yours has more space taken up by word squares than visual candy. A simple way to tackle this would be to make more pages, with less word squares on each. A very few of your pages illustrate this -- first and second page of comic 1 for example -- but most fall into the trap. Another thing you should try to avoid is left justifying all of your text squares. If Will is standing on the right of the screen, place his text over there, even above or under him. Regimented left justified text is a sure off-putter.

Despite the colour scheme, it can be a little confusing to know who is saying what. But my biggest beef is all the spelling errors. It would look better with proper English. Unfortunately it looks like half the English-speaking world has forgotten how to write their own language :(

(As is the norm with such posts, I've probably made a mistake above - though in my defence (or maybe it's a strength?), I'm not native).

The story itself looks interesting so far, so if you keep posting about updates here, I'll probably read it. Loved the "bookmark" comment ;)

...which is exactly why I didn't read it & gave feedback.

Talk about redundancy.
