Played Fine yesterday, but when i try to open it i get an Error saying An Assertion Failed in D:\dev\chitin\Cdimm.cpp at line number 581 Programmer Says: unable to open BIF:data\SFXsound.bif

throwing in the fact that i am having the exact same problem, but i never got it to work in the first place. i just downloaded baldur's gate 1, it installed fine, and now this is going on. any help would be nice!

im running windows 7 professional, 32 bit OS
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.00 GHz
2 GB RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series

the game should work fine on these specs, and compatibility mode does nothing. any suggestions?

Edit: just got it working. all i did was delete the entire game (luckily i hadnt started yet) and just ran the setup file over again. now it works fine!
