Some times/most times when you click on the arrow to close the main map, your mouse stops working. This is Avernum Escape from the pit, and not 1, as in title of topic.

Okay, far enough. Have you tried running the other rendering mode? There should be another executable in the directory.

I am running it through the DirectX exe because the openGL caused weird flashing blocks on the game screen.
