So I decided to go to Peregon and try to rescue the doggies in the hold of the ship. The only way to do this - I thought - was to off everyone in Peregon. So, armed with the 14.5mm rifle I nicked from a slave trader I did just that: everyone got blown away: barman, traders, guards, officials, the works. But then I found I STILL couldn't rescue the dogs. And THEN I was told by Dan to go meet some official there to kick start the elections in Otradnoye...but of course, when I went back there the official and his bodyguards had a fucking go at me before I coud say anything, so I had to off them as well...which now means I can't complete the mission...Ah well...I'd saved it just prior to the massacre, so I'll go back there and kill 'em all AFTER I've spoken to the official next time :)

Question for the developers: Any chance you could make a slight update to the game whereby you can at least unlock the dogs' cage? It'd make us animal-loving, vegan gamers a lot happier :) x

Hi! Well, these poor puppers were made to kill and shaped by the cruelty of their masters, so I doubt they'll be friendly with the one who frees them, but we'll think about the opening of cage proposal.

It would be funny if they all ganged up on the player as soon as they're released... ;)

I rescued this completely wild and feral cat from an old factory once. The developers had set traps and wanted to kill the cat population there. It was a race between them and the cat rescue people as to how many were saved. The cat I ended up with was mean, vicious; all hissy fangs and claws. Whenever I had to take him to the vets I had to don a greatcoat, ovengloves and two balaclavas, he was that wild. However, after about six years of love and patience he turned into the soppiest, most loving cat you could ever imagine. He eventually died, aged about 20, quietly and gently one evening whilst curled up in my lap after a short illness.

I've visions of an ATOM NPC/encounter taking the rescued dogs of Peregon on and giving them the love and care they've never had... :
