I'm curious if there is any reason to own this on gog rather than steam? (besides drm of course)
I know some older titles play like crap via steam, or literally don't play, so any input as to which way to go would be
appreciated. The reason I am even considering steam is I happen to have enough in my steam wallet to buy it after selling a crap ton of those card things, so getting it without dipping into my bank would be nice for a change.

You shouldn't have any problems with the steam version. You can check the reviews on the steam page (http://store.steampowered.com/app/1700/) and you'll see that no one mentions any problems except one guy that has low framerate. (on the negative comments) So it's basically a debate of DRM vs DRM-Free! ;-)

Cheers & have fun!

Great I figured it's probably okay, but you never know. Thanks for answering. =)
And, with the "Arx Libertatis" source port, even Steam's DRM doesn't matter.
