Gexecuter: according to the manual this game has a bunch of spells which is awesome however i hope i don't miss many runes along the way.

Note some runes can be found multiple times.

that's pretty handy, thanks for the info!
And remember that you don't save in Human areas, or you're fucked.

That was already said. Read the thread before posting.

I know it was stated, I was just posting a BIG reminder.
i just want to take a moment and thank everyone who has given me tips, it's helpful. As for not saving in human areas well i...sort of skipped that part when i was reading the thread or rather it just didn't stick with me, i have saved in the human areas but thankfully i haven't encountered any problems. anyway i will keep that saving tip in mind when i return to Arx.

You're welcome!
I'm so jealous. :(
Are you running Vista or 7 maybe? Perhaps that will fix things up for me when I switch...

The screen stays black and wont load up a damn thing. Pray to God this doesn't happen to you.

Very much non-subtle. Loading to one of these areas takes about five minutes, sometimes more (as Rohan said, during this time it's just a black screen).
Interesting it's not applicable to everyone.

Sorry to be bringer of bad news - I'm on Vista and I'm getting the save bugs, although not had a complete load failure yet, just lots of looooong waits......was having LOADS of trouble with the 'Fatal Memory' crash as well, but playing in Windows 98 Compatibility appears to have fixed that one **cross fingers**
Having the two bugs combined created an interesting problem - to combat the Fatal Memory crash I had to save a lot, but to combat the save bug i didnt want to save in Human areas.....grrr
well i played some more today, i should have listened to you guys some more since i ran into the save bug, when i loaded my save that i had made in the king's hall the screen went to black and it took a long time to finally load my save. Furthermore the NPC animations were weird, the king moved like he was in fast motion, i think it got fixed when i loaded another area. Anyway that damn jewel store finally opened, sold some crystals and bought a new rune from the shopkeeper lady which as it turns out had a daughter missing, i like the standing gentlemen that i am decide to help her tough i have no idea where to look, maybe i'll try the human outpost for starters.

If you continue exploring the game you will eventually find her. There are even some hints later on. Just beware. She CAN die just like the other npcs.
I'll slightly steal this thread and ask :
Is there any way to tear down that unstable wall in first dungeon (basement under prison) - room with spiders?
Weapons, rocks and magic (fireball) aren't working.
Should I look for a pick axe or some special spell?
Thanks
