Hi, I have bought Arx Fatalis. I installed the game on my 3 different computer and only one of them able to launch it. The game don't even bother to start in other systems.

My main computer is a dual boot machine that has both XP SP3 and Vista SP1. Both of them 32 bit. Game doesn't start in Vista, but I can start it in XP without a problem. My Vista 32 bit installed notebook also can't start it.

Then I bought a netbook. Standart stuff, Atom and Intel GM450. It's operating system is XP SP3. When I first install the game it run fine, but after a month or two same problem with other systems. No launch.

Then I discovered the problem. Because only difference that I have done to my netbook was upgrading Windows Media Player from 9 to 10. And every other systems that can't run gog version of Arx Fatalis has WMP10.

I tried everything but can't run the game in those systems. Please fix this issue and adjust this game to latest systems properly.

Since you say Windows Media Player 10 seems to be the key the first thing I'd try is upgrading to Windows Media Player 11 through Windows Update or from this page. Additionally, do you happen to use any third-party codecs? If upgrading Windows Media Player doesn't work try uninstalling them.
