I was wondering if there was a way I could go into the game files and manually add an item to my inventory by say editing a readme or some such as you can with other (older) games?

Probably wishful thinking I know. I only ask because I got to the part where you need to give Polsius the official Goblin papers to sign, but they apparently glitched out on my play through and never showed up. And I really really don't want to play the last hour and a half to two hours again just for that. This is an excellent game, its really sad if its enjoyment is totally killed by being buggy.

Ok after reloading a few times its shown up. Never mind, I just hope something like this doesn't happen again XD. This is a great atmospheric game. I feel like I really am in a dank cave where everyone wants to kill me! Very cathartic.

I remember several years ago when Arx was out and even more buggy then now, I've given the signed paper and the gem dealer paper, but the Goblin would still not open the gate - I was stuck !

Fortunately this bug has been fixed, at least in the latest GoG version with the latest patch.

Yeah I admit pirating the first Arx version, I was a student and had no money or income.
Now several years after, I can afford to buy games and I've bought more then 10 titles from GOG alone, including Arx.
