Hey guys I just got a new laptop to run my Gogs and I figured i would try this one on it, but sadly when I start the game the menus are all blurred out to the point where I cannot read the text. I believe it is a resolution issue, and I have got to the point where I can navigate my blurry menues to the resolution adjustments but because I cannot read the text I cant seem to find my native resolution. I have already tried almost all of them but they have all crashed my machine, any guesses?


intel i7 2670
8gigs of ram
nvidea 525m
windows 7 64bit
sorry almost forgot, my screen is 15", native resolution : 1366 x 768

I believe you can access the .cfg using notepad. The location is: C:\Users\*username*\Documents\ArmA - ArmA.cfg

Open it using notepad. Then navigate through the lines, you can see these two:

Resolution_W=1366;
Resolution_H=768;

Just change the value to your native resolution, save and close. Try run the game once again and see if it works.

So I did that and I was able to successfully change my resolution but sadly the text was still very blurry and the menu boxes have turned black. Now i'm wondering if this is just a video card problem?

I think that graphic card should capable running the game at least on medium settings. I have seen video of people with exact same card playing Crysis 2. Did you update the driver to latest version?

I just updated from nvidia and the problem still exists. I noticed someone else is having the same problem as me a few posts down but they were very vague about it and didnt put any computer info in the post.

Good you found the solution. I found this link few hours ago: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=198595
But being a person who haven't use laptop for gaming, i thought it has nothing to do with your problem. Turn out the solution is similar, albeit for different video game (GTA 4). I don't even know some video game will set the Intel HD as default GPU.

From what I've seen, installations always default to the Intel integrated GPU. You'll have to set each title manually unless you change the global setting to default to the nVidia GPU. The downside of that is battery life.

I have the same problem. How did you change to the chip? I'm not the best when it comes to working the settings of a computer. Thanks!

oh If you simply right click on the shortcut for your game under your video card pullout you will have the option of running it with whatever video cards you currently have installed.
