No specific error message, just that "this program needs to close" message. In Windows XP with the unofficial latest patch installed. Tried running in compatibility mode but no luck.

Try ticking the checkbox for 'Disable Visual Themes' on the shortcuts.

Yep, tried that but it didn't work. The frame of the window actually appears, but no "filling". But it also appears along with the error message and then closes when I click OK, obviously.

Mine does this too. I've never used them so I hadn't noticed.

I'm running GOG Install + UAP + Better Town Maps + Hi-Res Patch.

Vista x64.

I am having this issue as well. I get the following message - An unhandled win32 exception occured in WorldEd.exe [2116] -

(Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger)

I would really like to be able to use the modding features.

I am running widows xp pro and a standard gog install of the software.
