Gazoinks: Also, the Black Mountain Mines kind of suck immensely. I went there when I was lv. 16 with 6 party members and it still sucked, I can't imagine how it would've been if I had gone straight there from Tarant instead of doing sidequests for 7 or 8 levels. They could've driven off a lot of potential players.

atkes: When I was done exploring the black mountain mine, I really wanted to slap whoever had been placing traps all over the place there :)

Anyhow, the line between frustration and "challenging, fun!" game is often as thin as a thread ... I had to use Stun a lot to have any chance against the golems and just set off all the traps to get through (thanks for the heals, Virgil)
At the very least they threw the player a bone with the handful of trap-finding scrolls you end up getting. My main problem was Magnus though, since Virgil and Dante can't heal him very effectively he kept dying and I kept reloading. >.>
On the upside, I had tons of money once I was finally done with that hellhole, enough to repair all the damaged weapons and armor from going through the mine (I had six party members, so I really didn't want to have to deal with constantly switching equipment in and out) and still had a bunch left over.

^Of course that's basically moot now, since after completing the Master Persuasion quest with the best result I now have more money than I can imagine finding ways to spend.
