To the point of...why bother? Game is unplayable with massive framerate drops, borked resolution, random black screens. What a dog-version of a great game. Disappointing to see no support/fixes.

Support is currently in the works, Unofficial Arcanum Patch 2.0 (UAP 2.0) by Drog Black Tooth should be out this year. Just have some patience. You can always install it either on Linux or on Windows XP on a Virtual Machine and it will work like a charm. I've had no problems on Windows 7 either on my rig.

It has as much unofficial community support as one could hope for, see the stickied thread listing unofficial patches and more. There's no way this game can receive official support since Troika doesn't exist anymore.

We need a Beamdog Enhanced Edition of the game.

Same experience here. I gave up after sending a request to GOG and mentioning that the game is as far as I'm concerned dead int eh water. Unplayable, and no removal of dll's or using buffer commands or thrid patches helps.
It runs like crap.
