Hello people, would anyone be interested in a pen and paper version of Arcanum?

I have decided to make a percentile based system incorporating the games original stats.
I just want to know if this is worth doing, I already have about a years worth of work done already.
Yes yes yes. Arcanum's character system is one of my favorites ever. Just make sure not to get confused with the Arcanum system that already exists (no relation to the game). :]
Jranda do you mean a pure pen and paper game or a port for computers ?

A pure pen and paper game of course.
I am very interested in this!!! :D
I just recently started playing my first PnP game with some friends, but I would love to see the work you've done and what Arcanum would look like as a PnP game.
Is worthwhile = Yes x 683.
Sure

A basic d20 system would work best I think for it.
3/4 of the way there, about 120 pages so far, mechanics, the world, lore and so forth. Just working on balancing the weapons and magic system.
Does anyone have any suggestions for some new spells to go with the originals from the PC version?

I would say don't invent new Colleges of Magic, but definitely add to what is already there in terms of finding other games with cool spells and seeing how they best might fit into the Arcanum magic system. So you could have a whole variety of new water spells like "Freeze" or "Rain" or "Manipulate Water". That sort of stuff.

Thank you, for posting. I will certainly look into spells from other systems and see how well they can be adapted and addjusted. I am thinking of just including the original spells in the core rule book and perhaps having a supplement for expanded magic.

I think there aren't enough spells that could be useful outside of combat in the spells which exist in the Arcanum world already. As an example, it makes sense in my mind that someone who can cast fireball wouldn't need to cast fireball to light a camp fire for themselves, and there are lower level spells that can work for certain situations.

A valid point, I will add a few simple cantrips for such things. I will also consider some mechanics for more mundane tasks other than the magic and combat based ones in the game. I will also work out some more nature spells for players more interested in anti-technology.
Keep at it!
When you're done please put it in a PDF and post it somewhere so we can have it. I would love to play a Pen & Paper version of Arcanum.

More nature spells (especially specifically anti-tech ones) would be great! I really think that playing up the diametrically opposed natures of magic and technology is a good way to make the game more interesting, and really very unique (as is Arcanum).
