Hey everyone,

I realize this question has already been asked a time or two, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Is their a character editor/trainer of some sort that works with the GOG version and fan-patch?

I've tried the arceditor1_8, but I keep getting an error about MSSTDFMT.DLL, and it doesn't actually say how to install the rest of the program.

Normally I'm all for playing a game legitimately, but the combat is getting to me. It just seems really unfairly balanced, and incredibly clunky.

All help is appreciated!

*EDIT*
I did just find a rebalancing patch, so I'll give that a go too. Are their any other mods I should consider, simply in the hopes of balancing the game?

Cheat Engine is pretty good.
There is a Virgil-Mod that adds several cheat-options as dialogoptions for Virgil and it is compatible with the Gog-version and the Fan-Patch.

At least it was compatible for me...is use it at a regular base to get the teleportoption if i am playing SC's without magic.

By the way...why do you think the combat is unfair?
What kind of char do you play?

If you're new to Arcanum, the only patch I would recommend is Drog's Unofficial Arcanum Patch, and some of it's associated enhancements, like hi-res maps and things. DF1871 posted a link to terra-arcanum.com, and that site is a great place to start. You can get the files from there.

Combat is fairly poor in Arcanum, and it can be difficult in some ways, but it's also incredibly exploitable once you know what you're doing.
