It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I've downloaded the installer about 10 times now and it's always corrupt. I've tried with and without download managers, and in both Firefox and IE. I've done all the steps gog.com recommends under the support article about corrupted downloads. No luck. Anyone else having this problem?

Some info about your OS would be helpful.

What confirms that it is corrupted? You are turning off UAC prior to installing? You are right-clicking the setup.exe and clicking "Run as an administrator" in the resulting dialog? Not doing these two steps can cause a setup to fail / stall.
I'm on 64-bit windows 7. I am running the setup as an administrator. The setup starts, a window with a progress bar shows up that says it's checking file integrity, and once the bar is done an error box appears that tells me the setup file is corrupted and to redownload.

edit: I've tried pressing the skip button and that does let me in to the actual setup program but the setup fails due to corrupted files.

Make sure your user account is an administrator account.

Might be a waste of time but try turning the UAC off then running setup as an admin. Turn it back on after the install of course. (see image) . . . =)

Go to Control Panel, Users and turn UAC to Never notify. You might have to reboot after which you can try the install. I also suggest, if this allows an install, that you install in a directory outside of Program Files. I create one called C:\Games just for this purpose.

On the first dialog of the GOG installer (assuming this is the problem) click the Options button in the lower left corner and point the install to the new directory.

After the install, right-click the game shortcut, click Properties, click the Compatibility tab and check mark "Run this program as an administrator". You might want to add the -no3d and -doublebuffer switches as well. (see second image)

Edit: Also install any mods as an admin.

If all of the above fails, I would look at my firewall / AV / spyware programs as the probable cause. I have downloaded, with firefox, over 70 games from GOG on XP, Vista and Win 7 so I believe it is a local problem. Something about your particular setup seems to be timing out / blocking the download, possibly because it is fairly large . . . good luck . . . =)

One other thought, check available hard drive space, I have had large downloads fail if there was not enough free space for the file.

This is a long shot, but on my old machine I was having trouble downloading things and it turned out to be a problem with my RAM and/or motherboard. Thing is, it affected large downloads from ANYWHERE, not just GOG. If you have any large games from other digital distributors (Steam, Impulse, etc.) try downloading those and see if you still have corruption errors.

I also ran into problems with unzipping or otherwise decompressing large files. For instance, attempting to install my DVD version of Oblivion failed, due to trying to unpack large .cab files off the disc.

If you see those symptoms, maybe you have the same problem I did. I hope not though! Hopefully it's an easy fix, like one of the things Stuff mentioned.
I bought & downloaded Arcanum over the weekend (when it was dirt-cheap), but didn't install it...I was waiting until I finished playing Fallout 2. But after seeing your thread, I decided to install it to see how it went, so I could possibly give you some feedback.

One download, one installation, no tinkering involved, and it works perfectly for me.

I almost wish I had to change settings in some way, just so I could offer some help. Just like you, I'm also running 64-bit Win7 as Admin, but I didn't get the error box you did. Sorry.

I have the same problem as hakujin. Runninf Win 7 (64) 4gb ram, 700GB open on C:\...
And nothing is working. It keeps on saying that the install setup files is corrupt.

Any updates on this?
Three download attempts using the download manager and I get this ...

This has never happened before.
I'd try a chkdsk x: /f on the correct volume with the game files. With admin privileges of course.

Also, a complete pass in Memtest86+ would be a good idea. http://www.memtest.org/

Edit: I think I would also consider writing a mail to the GOG support. They probably have many different servers to keep things going, I don't think it's impossible that one of them has indeed corrupt files. Maybe they can check this on their end. It's not always the user/the user's computer.

I am having the same problem and all the suggestions thus far have been for not. I use run as admin when installing and it will not install the program due to corrupt files. UAC is off and restarted computer. tried different folder to install the program. all tests on hard drive and mem test are good. when i try to use the GOG down loader i get an error page saying cannot find address on Mozilla and internet explorer. When i try to install Arcanum i get the setup files are corrupted. please download a new copy of the program. And when I skip check integrity i get " arcanum2.dat file" the source file is corrupted.
Help!

the Bin files are Propably not in the same directory as the exe this was the case with me.. Advent rising gave me the same error and i checked where the files where.. and they where in windows Temp Folder.. just copy them all to the same folder and all works well
This actually happened to me. Many times on many games. I think in my case it is closely related to my country's ultra-low and unstable internet speed.

But I always do the same trick and it always works though a bit annoying:
Steps:
0. (if your have corrupted files and already finished your download / don't have any download problems such as auto-resetting download progress etc, skip to step 2)
1. Pause download on GOG.com downloader.
2. Make a backup copy of your corrupted setup files somewhere.
3a. If you follow step 1, remove the download from the queue list, and delete setup files.
3b. If you don't follow step 1, delete the setup files on Gog.com download folder
4. Redownload from your account page on GOG.com
5. Pause the download
6 Copy your previously corrupted setup files to the same download folder
7. The download bar will automatically increases to reach the similar filesize of your corrupted file and then re-continue it, probably adding missing files.

Not sure if it's working on your computer though. But it works for me. I just did it again yesterday on my Duke Nukem 3d (35MB ONLY!) download.

Thanks, let's try that. I hope that solve the problem.

EDIT:

Unfortunately, didn't work for me.

I have the same problem, specifically, with Fallout. My other downloaded games from Gog.com have worked fine. I don't understand it...
