I get major gfx problems as soon as the intro starts rolling and by the time i've got to the main screen its completely unplayable. I have installed the unofficial patch stickied. I'm running win7 on 64 bit and i've tried running in compatibility mode for XP SP 2.

This person apparently had the exact same problem you're having. You should try taking the same steps he took to fix it.

You should totaly consider installing 32bit one. It's way better. To make it compitable, use windows xp sp3. This one works for me.
