How do I give a cure poison potion to a party member dying from poison? Thanks

Put it on one of the 10 square boxes above the bottom interface area, then click it there and the cursor should turn into a blue frosty thing (magic!). Then you just target your friend, and laugh it over some martinis at the tavern later.
