My problem is as the title says. I'm on w7 64 and got arcanum with a bunch of other games on the sale, all of which of course works fine.

I can see the exe in the task manager but absolutely nothing happens, no splash screen (if there is one) or any indication that it is actually trying to do anything. Running it as admin makes no difference. I've checked the support page but as far as I can tell non of the suggestions there apply to my configuration, drivers et al are up to date.

I realise it isn't a whole lot of information to go on but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Another recent topic's problem was solved by temporarily disabling the resident anti virus, could give that a try.

I have sometimes had a similar problem with other programs, and simply rebooting helped in those cases. Other than that I don't know what could cause it.

Could be a permissions issue. Make sure you're running the game as Admin by ticking the appropriate checkbox on the game shortcut.

It could also be a resolution issue. Maybe try the High Res patch making sure you patch it to run @ your desktop native resolution
