That man surely knows how to pick his spot, in both hiding and stabbing.

Have you guys found any in-game advice to find the man?
What I found is pretty much that the backstab master fled Tarant to unknown location and the other news piece for murdered physician.

Neither of those helped that much.

I couldn't find the physician's home in Tarant to search for clues in, though.

try looking in a certain town north of where the book collecter victor* is.

He is pretty easy to find on Google unlike the in-game clues for his whereabouts as there seems to be none.

I must admit i found him in Rosenborough totally by accident since there were no clues in the game. There are more things in the game that you don't have any leads to, you'll find it just by exploring.
