When I finish the game, endings slides seem to get skipped at random. I can finish the game twice with the same save and receive two different sets of slides. I briefly see a flash of the slides being skipped but no sound for them plays and they move on.

I'm running 64 bit windows 7, and the other in game cinematics have run fine. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm curious as to whether anyone else has solved this glitch as well.

Is this with or without the UAP? UAP fixes quite few bugs with endings slides repairing some that were completely broken even with last official patch.

I can't speak for the OP, but I'm running the UAP and I still get this glitch on occasion. Since I tend to do a lot of the side quests, maybe there's a limit as to how many slides can be presented at the end.
I've tried both with and without the UAP.

In my case the glitch is usually pretty severe- I generally see only 1 or 2 slides, with lots of skips in between.

TwoHandedSword- are you also running 64 bit win 7?

I am. But my issues don't seem to be as severe as yours; I generally see most of what I'm supposed to, and only know from long experience when I'm missing one or two.

It's an odd glitch that lets you play the game without problems, and only shows up during the wrap-up. Perhaps you have some sort of weird DLL issue or other conflict? Are you running the game in DosBox, or in Win 98 compatibility mode? What additional codes (if any) are you running on the command line?

I'm running in windows compatibility with no additional command line options. I was unaware Arcanum ran in dos? If it does, I may spend some time setting it up in dosbox, as that seems likely to fix the problem.

I don't know for sure that it does; I run it in Win-98 compatibility mode myself. You may not need any of the command line prompts, but at the same time having them probably wouldn't hurt.

The Fallout games had this same exact problem. It was solved back in the day by lowering the sound acceleration in DirectX Diagnostic. A quick Google search seemed to indicate that this solution was no longer possible in Windows 7- but it might point you in some new directions to find a solution.

Has anyone managed to find a solution to this glitch?
