I was just wondering, I picked up the CD version last year but I haven't played it much at all. How big difference is there between the CD version and the GoG version?

taltamir: Also, use the -no3d -doublebuffer arguments to run it. Unlike most games the no3d option for arcanum does NOT result it worse graphics, they actually made a comparable software rendering engine.

StingingVelvet: It does result in less performance though, in my experience. Large mobs at high resolutions will make the game stutter.
yes, that is unfortunately true. if using higher quality gaphics mods, resolution mods, and the above mods then you can actually overburden your system. But the alternative is bugs... its best to experiment with different settings and find the one that is best for you.
One question. Does the GOG version include the unofficial community patch?
If not, can I install the patch on the GOG version?
(I have not gotten around to installing the GOG version, I have the CD version but I figured it's all too hard getting that to work on modern OS's and GOG has made it easy).
