After a few issues, I got Arcanum up and running. Or so I thought. It has a bit of lag, but I've heard that is normal for Windows 8 users, but I haven't heard about the menus turning purple and getting squished. I do have Drog's Unofficial Arcanum Patch, Drog's High Resolution Patch, and Drog's High Quality Townmaps installed, which might be the issue. I noticed the new issues first when I got to the main menu. behind the menu you could see the edges of what looked like the HUD on games like Icewind Dale and BG. I ignored it, but then I saw that the inventory menu in the main game would make items that I was moving turn purplish and get squished. I this heard of? I have two screenshots here, one of the main menu with the HUD behind it, and one of the main menu all purple and squished. The main menu only got squished after I went into the options to try and find a way to launch it in windowed mode. The purplish effect on the main menu screenshot is what happened in the in-game menus too, which made me unable to save a game or anything else accessed through the main menu.

I sort of fixed it. I reinstalled Drog's High Res pack and only installed the core. I don't really know if that was why it was acting up like that, but I haven't had any more problems since.

you know what, I have the same exact issue. I installed the packs/ patches and the game wont work, even if I try to play it vanilla.the game has been unplayable for me :c
