Is this possible?

I would like a WASD setup.

You'd have to edit them in dosbox
Be aware that by doing this you would also have to remap the A (map) and the D (drop) keys and that you will not be able to type As and Ds into save game names.

Wouldn't the A & D still be remapped to the other keys you picked?

If the A & D keys are mapped to the Left and RIght arrow keys and you remapped the Tab and ; (semicolon) to the A and D keys, for example, then to type a savegame name of let's say "Dead" then you would need to type ;e<tab>; which can get confusing. It is perfectly alrgiht to do this, but you'd need to remember which key is mapped to which.
Personally, I prefer to play with an XBOX controller (although it's my ps3 one, the shape is the same)

Took me a while to come up with a setup I liked, but I really enjoy it..

I am using JoyToKey Ver5.9 for this.

The D-Pad is mapped to the arrrow keys
the left stick is the mouse at 80 speed
the right stick is the mouse at 40 speedp

X is P (activate switches etc.)
O is D (Drop)
/_\ is T (throw)
[_] and L1 are Left Click
R1 is Right click
L2 is L (Left Hand)
R2 is R (Right Hand)
Start is C (Character Sheet)
Select is A (Automap)
Home Button is F2 (Save Menu)
