The GOG version of Alan Wake is DRM-free. What does this mean? This means there is NO CODE when you buy the game, no serial number, nothing to redeem on Steam. Patches will be applied in a manner similar to how they were done before Steam became popular - that's right you get to download patches and install them!
THERE IS NO SERIAL NUMBER OR CODE FOR THIS GAME WHEN YOU PURCHASE FROM GOG. IT IS NOT STEAM-REDEEMABLE BECAUSE STEAM IS A FORM OF DRM AND THIS GAME IS DRM-FREE ON GOG.
Thank you, this has been a public service announcement from CymTyr after seeing a lot of people in this sub forum asking about redeeming the game on Steam.
