It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

New customer ..downloader will D/L alan wake bonus content but crashes when I try to D7L the actual game ?

anyone else have this problem??
Did you try DLing through your browser?
No I haven't ...but as i'm used to steam I want to use the downloader to keep me aware of patches etc...odd that I can download the add-ons but not the actual game...I have sent an email to support but from what i've read on the forums GOG isn't responding to emails on this -
Not a good impression ...i'd have paid trhat bit more on steam to have been able to play this weekend :-(
I have the same problem. It is possible to download the bonus content but the downloader always crashes when I want to add the game.

I already tried to use the beta-downloader - same problem.

So far no solution. The browser-download is working.
Guess it's something that's fixable?? Guess I could use the browser methos but could this result in me getrting half-way thru' the game then it hitting a problem because the files weren't verified---if so I'll wait...
Glad/SORRY to hear it's not just me...if you know what I mean

The game installer verifies the files as well so there's no risk of that happening :)
There was an error server side, should be fixed now (or in the next hour tops).

As noted, no worries there. I always DL through my browser and have never used the GOG DLer. I've had no issues.
thanks all for the input-----appreciated

Hmm, apparently not :p I just did some testing amid reports of problems and there still seems to be issues. I have also installed the GOG Downloader on one of my other systems to help test.

Alan Wake either gets stuck on "Preparing..." or the downloader crashes. At one point I managed to get it to start downloading on this system but the size reported was incorrect (~5GB). Now it just crashes every time on this system while it gets stuck most of the time on the other system.

This problem seems to be limited to Alan Wake as all other games I've tried have downloaded on both systems without any problems.

yep! I agree ...still not fixed...sorry gals and guys , but never had this on Hiiisssssssssssssss (steam ) servers....BUT know you'll fix it ..'thanks
Fixed now :| Sorry for troubles, weird problems with server.
Yep, fixed! Seems like just bad luck that this happened when there are probably quite a few new customers with the Wake deal. They've obviously worked thru' the night to fix it...
MANY THANKS...plus it was nice to see I saving a bit less than a third of steam's price just because Steam's accontants can't do conversion rates...not a hugh saving BUT I don't feel ripped off, which feels good :-)

thanks to those who offered me their knowledge....Signed....
