Not for me, but a nice holiday surprise.
After a bit of a poor start, in my opinion, these holiday surprises have been pretty swell.

I like this game. Good promo, nice surprize. Would definately make spontaneous sale from me but I already own the game.

Checking this site everyday and getting involved with the contests and such has made counting down the month waaayy more fun than those chocolate calenders. Keep up the good work.

red baron 3d does not run on win7, and red baron 1, from 1990, is too old, unplayable, and i grew up with vic20 and c64.

i learned to have a better look on the system infos, and to look at the forum first as well, in doubtfull cases at least..

Is this GOG's first 75% off sale?

It's in my wishlist, so I'm definitely buying it. Even if the second one might have problems, the original alone is worth it.

I think this was the very first PC title I ever bought (years back) but my edition was a 256 colour version if memory serves me right.

Nice ... I already own it, but I liked the consolation price ;)

Plus I was able to get this as a Xmas gift for my Dad, who loves this game. So I did get to take advantage of the 1-day sale after all!

Can't wait for the Dec. 14th unveiling! Why is it that people think it is LucasArts? It would be fantastic if it were, but is there evidence underlying this assumption? Have coy hints been dropped? Or is this wishful thinking?

I would have probably purchased this, even though I may never get around to playing it (or many of the other games I have purchased from GOG), but I received no email about the offer. GOG if you are going to inform about special offers then inform about all offers or none at all. If you had not started informing about offers then I would still be checking your website every day and would not have missed this.

Right, aside from the fact that I believe you were given ample "prompt" to check out what was going on here (the previous weekend promo fell between surprise #2 and #3), you have a very valid point. The email options are thus:

I want to receive e-mails from GOG.com about:
[X] new releases [X] discounts and promos

This was a discount/promotion, but if no email was sent out (I didn't get one either) then GOG didn't hold up their obligations to notify members of this...
