Age of Wonders series 50% off

After last week's Ubisoft sale you may have thought we'll give you a break from deals you cannot pass. If so, then you were wrong :) This weekend we're offering you the whole Age of Wonders trilogy with a stunning 50% discount, so you can enjoy all three parts of this award winning strategy series for only $12.97. If you already own some Age of Wonders titles on GOG, you can complete the series with a 50% discount. But if you're interested in buying only one or two parts of the series you'll still get 30% off. Promo ends on Monday, November 29 at 11:59 p.m. EDT.

The day after I buy age of wonders shadow magic....

Egotomb: Thinking about getting Shadow Magic. Anybody got a link to a manual? Doesn't strike me as the type of game that would be easy to pick up without it.

gyokzoli: There is no manual on the internet yet, only the appendix.
No wonder....after all, the appendix IS a useless organ. ;)

Someone persuade me not to get this! I'm supposed to be saving money... but it's such good value. Damn.

Um.....consumerism is the root of all evils, and will lead you down the path to the dark side?

How bout that?

The third one is the best and thus should be the only one you should get. I don't feel 30% off is good enough, it should be 50% off so you shouldn't get it based off that notion.

Are there plans to get the manuals. I do not consider this to be extras, but part of the original game(s).

Has there been any gog information forthcoming on the issue of no manuals?

Does anyone know to get manuals for these games?

Thanks

Someone posted links to the manuals for games 1 and 2 and part of the manuals for game 3 a few pages back.

Are people whining again about how the deal offered isn't good enough? We live in a sad society my friends... When someone's not giving a deal, people whine. When they're giving a deal, they whine that it's not good enough. GOG is clearly operating on paper thin margins to begin with (can't make much money on a $4.99 game when it's only $4.99 to begin with), how can you complain when they decide to give you half off of that? Only thing worse would be complaining about a 20% discount on a 5 cent candy not being high enough.

these games sound interesting, so i have bought them. What can i expect when i play them

Thanks in Advance

No. the first and the third are the best. My favorite is the first. Choosing one of them, both or even the whole pack (the only thing that is in the second one that isn't in the third is the campaigns) is a very good idea if you like good strategy games.

bought all 3 since they look like something I really would be interested in playing =)

interesting how the 3rd one has a full 5 star rating, something which is pretty rare here on GoG

Not many here are complaining perse, just saying they don't ant the games from this sale, or that the manuals aren't included(they should be obv in all games, as they're part of the game).

Alot here even applauded the smaller package deal, and other aspects of the sale......but you are right, there will always be people unhappy with certain things. They seem to be keeping quiet though so that's good.

A good choice!

I almost bought just one of them last weekend at the full $10. All three for just 3 bucks more? That's a no-brainer insta-buy for me. Thanks, GOG!

aluinie: Bought all 3 at time of release good games all of them, Love the music too. And yeah we need the manuals
Also bought all three games in the pack yesterday. Why is the manual missing? Can't be to difficult to get it and scan it.

However, one can google it and download it. ;)

P.S.: And maybe, just maybe, GOG should think about introducing permanent bundle reductions like: buying all three AoW in a single checkout gives 30% discount always from now on etc. ...

Age of wonders is one of the best strategy games ever made, but some levels are difficult as Hell.

Spent 2 weeks to finish it.

Well I bought the games no idea when I'll have time to play, but I do recommend the soundtracks for AoW2 or 3 (same really for both) quite atmospheric music to play in the background. So even if you don't have time to play the games yet you might have time to play the music. Now If only we had High quality FLAC files. I can dream.
