Alchas says: One of my favourite CRPG's. The story is excellent, and there is a lot of interesting side content. The mechanics are flawed, which makes the game a bit less enjoyable, but it is easy to look past it. This game should have had a sequel!

Alchas says: What is there to say? An epic series, and a must have for CRPG fans, particularly because of it's engaging storyline and living game world. BG is less accessible than BG 2, and not quite as polished, but still an excellent game.

Alchas says: Another must have. Fallout 1 & 2 are some of the best non linear CRPG's, mainly because they (almost) give the player the option to do whatever they want, and because there is a lot of content to explore, which never feels bland and repetetive.

Alchas says: Even better than the first game. Larger and more epic in scale. Everything that was good in the first game has been more polished for this one. If you haven't played it, buy it now!

Alchas says: Underrated game. Disappointing if one expects a sequel to Fallout, as it is lacking in many RPG elements. It still retains it's CRPG roots, but mainly it is a very entertaining tactical combat game.

Alchas says: Along with Fallout, this is one of the masterpieces Black Isle Studios created. It has a unique story and setting, and the dialogue has a lot of depth. It's the kind of game you can replay several times, and still discover something new.

Alchas says: The first, and by far the best game in the series. Though it looks and plays a lot like Diablo, it has all the story and content expected from a "real" CRPG, and it is fairly non linear. Great music too, which really adds to the immersion.

Alchas says: It's a passable game, but I only recommend it for those who really liked the first one and want to explore the game world a bit more. It is much more combat focused than the first one, has a convulted skill system, and a disappointing storyline.

Alchas says: Not quite as good as the second game, but a somewhat unique CRPG, well worth a try. The combat system may put some off, and the dialogue and story can be lacking at times. If you can look past the flaws though, it is a very entertaining game.

Alchas says: The world feels more colourful and alive than in the first game, and it is also bigger. If you liked the first one, you'll love this. That said, it does retain some of the flaws of Gothic, dialogue lacking depth, and a sometimes strange storyline.

Alchas says: Dungeoncrawling in the Baldurs Gate engine. Fun game, but very combat focused, and lacking in side content. I found the game a bit dull at times, but generally interesting and varying enough to get me by, and enjoy the ride. It is no BG however.

Alchas says: I liked this more than the first game. Though almost as combat focused, it offers more varying environments and challenges, instead of just dungeons. Some people disliked the hybrid 2e and 3e Dungeons & Dragons ruleset, but I found it refreshing.

Alchas says: This could have been a great game. The mechanics needed some work, but the main flaw is that the game is unfinished. The first half of it is great and offers combat, dialogue and exploration, but the second half is just a long series of dungeons.

Alchas says: (4 stars for the pack, 5 stars for MM 6.) I haven't played them all, but the ones I have played are very good. The first ones may feel dated, but definetly playable. 6 and 7 are the best ones in the series, though sadly 7 isn't included here.

Alchas says: A somewhat bland CRPG that could have been a lot better. The dialogue and story aren't very engaging, but combat and exploration are fun, at least at first. If you enjoy games like Gothic, you could try it out, but it's far from a masterpiece.

Alchas says: This is my favourite adventure game of all time. Very mysterious, unsettling, and engaging. I recommend it to all fans of adventure games who want to try something different, or anyone who likes mysteries and psychological horror.

Alchas says: Great turn based strategy, similar to Heroes of Might & Magic, but IMO better, because of more tactical combat. All three AoW games are great, but I like this one the most. (Shadow Magic is practically just an expansion of Wizards Throne.)

Alchas says: Best game in the series, but personally I find HoM&M to be a bit overrated, mainly because of the dull combat that only amounts to massing numbers. Apart from that, a very good strategy game, even if I recommend Age of Wonders more.

Alchas says: A good fantasy strategy game that closely resembles Heroes of Might & Magic. Sadly it lacks multiplayer, which was always the main draw of that series, but the single player campaign, while thin on story, is still a lot of fun to get through.
