GoG's RPG's - let's sum them up

Baldur's Gate 2 Complete

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: If BG1 was the King, BGII and ToB are the supreme God-Emperor of role playing games. This game is in a category all by itself, in terms of gameplay and scope. Nothing even comes close.

Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: The King. Set the standards for RPG greatness. Mandatory playing for any true RPG geek. Stock up on food and dig in.

Planescape: Torment

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: The undisputed champion of wickedly weird storytelling and characterization. Part of the big three role playing pantheon with Baldur's Gate and Fallout.

Fallout

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Top dog in non-fantasy role playing games. Still retains that position, a decade later. Forget the elves and strap on your turbo plasma rifle.

Fallout 2

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Wasteland madness continues. By the time you're through with Fallout 2, Mad Max will look like a n00b. Consume with Nuka Cola.

Gothic 2 Gold Edition

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: When people tell you about the “living and breathing” world in their fancy new game you’ll just smile. Gothic did it first. And better too.

Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obs...

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Equal parts good and buggy. Still, this is technology and magic like you've never seen them before. And admit it, you've never seen orcs pilot a fighter plane.

Gothic

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Rougher than the sequel but if your keyboard survives the mutilations of the steep learning curve - fun awaits.

Icewind Dale Complete

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Its a straight old school DnD dungeon romp, executed with wonderful 2D graphics and a great musical score. Its not Baldur's Gate or Torment, and its aims are a little lower - but its still a good game.

Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: On its own, NWN was a poor offering - a toolbox shipped with a pretty average campaign. However the addition of expansion packs and user made mods extended its lifespan significantly. Its DnD without tactics. Take that as you will.

Temple of Elemental Evil, The

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: TOEE, in its patched and more or less bug free state serves to scratch the same itch as Icewind Dale. Its a story light, combat oriented dungeon crawl with the best DnD 3.5 implementation ever. But no more than that.

Divine Divinity

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: A pure Diablo clone with a surprising amount of world interactivity and depth. Personally I found it a much more enjoyable experience than Diablo 2.

Icewind Dale 2 Complete

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: The final Infinity Engine game, while polished and well made - is a bit dull. Still, fans of the original are bound to like it - its really more of the same. 3.5 Stars.

Vampire The Masquerade - Redemption

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: A decent action rpg, which tries some ambitious ideas - a narrative spanning two distinct time periods and a love story (rare in games). Degenerates somewhat towards the end, and the action isn't as balanced as it should be - but it can be fun.

Sacred Gold

_Varyag_'s rating:
250

_Varyag_ says: Another Diablo clone. While its not bad by any means, its not an outstanding game either. Played it in its original bug ridden state and that soured my experience quite a bit.

Treat your GOGmix as your child - name it! ;)

Coming up with a cool and descriptive title should be your first priority. Being original is in your best interest - bet you wanna get lots of nice votes, right? Go all crazy if you want, but be sure to keep it civil!

So, what are the ingredients?

Pick a game that belongs in your GOGmix from the list, or find it by typing something in the text field. Relevance is key here - Earthworm Jim doesn't quite fit the "Sexiest heroines of all time" bill now, does it?

Justify your choice... Or not!

OK, so it's not required, but now that you went through the trouble of adding a game, telling everyone why you did it would be a nice finishing touch. After you're done here, add another game, rinse, repeat.
