As some of you might have experienced, we had technical issues with processing credit card payments yesterday. Because of this some customers using credit card for purchases on GOG.com couldn't take advantage of the Apogee Pack promo. We managed to fix the problem and we decided to extend the promotion for one more day. So if you didn't manage to grab the Apogee Pack with a 50% discount, now it's your chance! The promo ends on Wednesday, September 1 at 5:59 a.m. EDT.

After obliterating all the cannon fodder reckless enough to stand in your way in the prequel, you must be itching for some more fast-paced action. Here it comes!

Serious Sam: The Second Encounter is the second installment of the acclaimed and addictive Serious Sam series. Packed with new content and missions, it's another great chance to turn off your brain for a while, let your reflexes take over and indulge yourself in another episode of guns-blazing mayhem. The most notable change, compared to the original, is the addition of new weapons: a chainsaw, a flamethrower, a sniper rifle, and the Serious Bomb. Armed with this vastly improved arsenal, our hero must bulldoze his way through hordes of enemies once again, make his way through different time periods, board an ancient starship and kill the greatest threat to Humanity. Sound simple enough?

Sure you do, that's why we found some cool Blood mods prepared by the awesome Blood community, played them and now it's time we share them with you. read more...

Much like our Space Quest 1+2+3 pack, today's release gives you the opportunity to experience the evolution of the graphical adventure game genre.

King's Quest is a classic series of adventure games designed by the famous Roberta Williams, co-founder of Sierra. The first three parts of the series, included in today's release, were made using an ancient (by today's standards) engine called the Adventure Game Interpreter, or AGI. Now, the graphics may be dated and the controls may be clunky, but you can't rightly call yourself a true adventure game fan if you haven't played the really oldschool titles as well. Most importantly, though, playing a part in each title's story more than makes up for using arrows and text input, rather than casually clicking away and hunting for pixels. If you haven't already then be sure to check the first three parts of "From Monochrome to Monarchy" KQ history by David Craddock.
Frenzy all over -- Once again Sam returns for an epic crusade through literally thousands of adversaries. It is not so much a question as to which one of the games (first or second encounter) is better; they are both epic for their own way.... full review

Better Then The First -- The Second Encounter is everything the first encounter was, but better. A sort of Doom 2 in that it adds new content rather then being a new game all together. The multiplayer has been expanded with more maps, rather then the one deathmatch map in the first game. We have new snazzy weapons like the chainsaw and the flamethrower now, too. If you loved the first game, this one will just bombard you with double the fun.

Awesome Game -- Have owned this game several times during my life and have loved it each and every time. I would consider TA on par with the original C&C from back in the day. Great game, fun, engaging. Only this it lacks is a good storyline, but if you can look past that, most modern RTS's dont come close to providing what this game does, and at 5.99 its a steal. No reason this shouldnt be in your game library.
