While playing in Gamer's Mode I lock up at Autotech when I try to use the mop and soap to set the trap for the guard. Every time Tex finishes mopping the game locks. Any suggestions?

no suggestions or any answers really, save frequent at autotech & move slowly in the store room. it's not a crash that you cannot overcome. A hint that might help, you can just aim the mouse on the mop & bucket from the store room, love pandora that way. also when you click on objects don't get too close as you might have found out already the mop sticks on the cursor & you have to restart the game.

Have found a crude but effective solution to this one. Because the Tex Murphy series, alone among video games, has the unique feature of letting you continue from the exact spot where your game crashed, deliberately crash the game by pulling up the task manager and closing the application.
When you return to the game answer YES to continuing where you left off. The mop will count as having been used, and you can continue the game from there, by opening the security door and letting the guard take the fall.
