I haven't had any problems with the Tex Murphy games until Overseer. Well I did have one with Pandora Directive but the Graphic Mode Setup worked that out. However that isn't an option in Overseer. My problem is that when I run the game, I get full sound but absolutely no graphical display at all. If anyone has any suggestions I'm all ears. Thanks.

Donborvio: Found the fix. Disable Catalyst A.I. This essentially does what the previous poster recommended (goes to one core only).

Glad to hear that got it to work, now lets hope cardician either has a dual gpu card or an sli setup.

Actually I have an ATI 4870 as well, which is a dual card. Where in the control center do you disable the Catalyst AI. I don't see the option anywhere.
Thanks for figuring that out though Donborvio, appreciate it.

You can deactivate it without opening the CCC. Right click on the ATI icon in the notification area (somewhere beside the clock) . Choose you card (generally there are two listed but you want the first one) -> 3D Settings -> Catalyst AI -> Disabled.
To do it with the Control Center, you must start the Control Center in "Advanced" mode. In the list on the left click on the + sign beside 3D, click on "Catalyst AI" below and check the box "Disable" in the right pane.
