This is ridiculous already. I've owned the game for over 40 days and they still haven't fixed a 100% showstopper of a bug. As you may have noticed, if you try to play the game on hard mode, there will come a point where you are completely stuck, and it's because GOG has some of the wrong inventory files in their version of the game. You can look at walkthroughs to find out what is supposed to already be in the game, but that's not a proper solution.
I've emailed them 3 times, they're still working on it and say it will be a slow process. They really need to fix it, stop selling the game without a disclaimer for now, and/or give those of us who want one a refund or exchange.

they can fix the game in 5 minutes but they are waiting to hear from the author of a patched version. Unfortunately the author has disappeared & no-one has heard from him for 2 years.
I agree with your comment as I paid for a version that is not working also.

It's a real shame so many people are having problems with these otherwise brilliant games.

you are dumb, these are games you otherwise would not be able to play, you can still play it on easy and medium so give it a rest. A small price to pay for the game and even a smaller price to pay for one of the greatest games ever made. And the creators did not vanish, there are copyright issues with the Tex games and the creators are avid supporters, if they had a quick fix that they could hand over they would have done so.

Actually, as far as I know, they have already uploaded a new version, that are fixed.

they replaced the installer for pandora a ciuple of weeks ago now, game works fine now.
As far as overseer i don't think anyone has proved there is a problem with gog installer.
I didn't puchase it as my original patched cd to a dvd overseer works brilliant with vista.
