Hi,

game runs smooth, but once in a while sound and ball stutters badly. So it's really near to impossible to play. This is really nerving. CPU usage is far away from 100% so this is not the Problem.
Anyone knows a fix? OS is W7x64.

Go to the game folder, search dosboxTimeshock.conf file.
Open it using notepad, under [mixer], change the value of the prebuffer from the original = 10
to 100. Save the conf. file and try a few games, see if it works.

It got a little better, meaning the freeze time got shorter but the problem still persists

How about changing it to 70? Dosbox can be quite problematic and has various performance result depending on processor and RAM.
