I'm really struggling to get the skawl to leave the dining room and go drink in the cellar. i have checked the walkthrough and completed the tasks stated but the skawl just doesn't seem to leave, any ideas?

I just finished the game and found another way than using subversion builds of ScummVM (that are not fully tested, as we can read on the official site). This method bypass the problem... literally. When this bug occurs Skorl starts to walk from one place to another without specific reason. You just need to wait until he is on the other side of the room, approach his chair (wooden chest?), wait for him to come near doors and we are almost home. :) Before reaching next screen I talked with the boy and he walked after me.
That's all. The way back was a bit harder, though (Skorl caught me few times).

I started playing Lure of the Temptress a few days ago (I had played it when I was younger). I just had this bug and had to download ScummVM 1.0 to play the game to the end.
Would it be possible for GOG people to fix the installer ? Maybe I should send a mail somewhere to ask them ?

Hello... I have been wanting to finish this game for years now. Got the orininal on my atare ST in the 90s and now found it on here and with the help of the cheats i've nearly made it. However, now I have spoken to the boy twice ect and told him someone is in the cellar and opned the wine cask, the skorl won't come into the cellar after waiting for him the wine runs out and he never comes! Help!!

this game uses the engine from http://www.scummvm.org/ to run the game. The one included in the download is producing this bug that you are talking about. You should download the newest version. The save game file is titled lure.001, and you have to move it to the directory where you installed your new ScummVM. Doing that solved this bug for me.

You can also just avoid the skorl, it isnt that hard.
