GOG can we please get an answer to this? Based on the thread "GOG's version of LOTR1" there are 4-5 posts arguing if it is or not. I will not buy this until I know, and given the weekend special price, an answer from you would be appropriate. Thank you.

EDIT: I think I might have answered my own question. I checked the torrents (no; I am NOT a pirate - 350 big box PC games in my collection should prove that!) and Lord or the Realm II with or without the add-on was over 300mb, so at 320mb on GOG, I can only believe LOTR1 is the floppy version. Shame.

You could have just replied to my post. GOG sell the LOTR royal edition. This is an edition of Lords of the Realm 2, with all the added extras. One of the added extras is Lords of the realm 1. It is not a separate product, and cannot be distilled onto disk. Perhaps you could extract the disks from the installer if you so wish, but why does this bother you so?

Well, the CD version of LOTR is far superior, so I would rather get the proper CD versions of LOTR 1 and LOTR 2 and add-on.

I am just pointing out that GOG should reply to this to give a definitive answer, and that's why I started a new thread.

LOTR1 is the floppy disk version. Months ago, I sent GoG a support request to see if we could get the CD-ROM version with better music and cinemas. Their reply was they would try to get it if they could. Unless there are a ton of requests, I don't think we will be seeing the CD version any time soon.

Shame, I really liked the German map.
