I tried using a money cheat to change the offsets for a money cheat in the .sav file data but when i try to change the offsets it would tell me that its "access denied".

I did this cheat way back in the day.

P.S. i love this game btw lol...although cheating decreases the fun of the game, but hell, who cares...i bought it :-)

I can't remember where LOTR stores its sav files (I have to hunt them down every so often to clean them up / delete them), however if they're in your Program Files directory then you'll need to run your hex editor with admin priviledges. i.e. right click on the application and select "run as administrator"

yeah, apparently, to use the money cheat i had to play a couple of turns and then somehow i was able to tinker with it. Its about the same from what i used to remember.

P.S. cheating is sometimes necessary lol but i still love the freaking game nonetheless
